Overview

Provides pastoral care for patients, their families and staff when called during an emergency or crisis situations, including spiritual counseling, sacraments and emotional support. Be cognizant of both the patient and the family's religious persuasion and cultural inclination in order to appropriately respond to their spiritual and emotional needs. Be cognizant of hospital procedures and guidelines in medical matters realted to end of life issues.
Work collaboratively with the clinical staff to ensure the best outcome for all parties involved in these medical emergencies. Assist with religious services when called upon.
