Under the direction of the management of the Clinical Engineering Department, the Biomedical Engineering (BMET) Technician I (BMET), will perform integration and maintenance work on medical equipment. perform preventative maintenance and trouble shoot problems. The BMET works on highly sophisticated mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and computer- based technology. The incumbent will provide training to colleagues, Vendors, and other personnel of the Yale New Haven Health System, where appropriate.
They will attend clinical education sessions to educate staff, students, and others on the operation, hazards, and healthcare necessity of the equipment.
