Diagnostic Imaging Technician II

Under the intermittent direction of the management of the Clinical Engineering Department the incumbent will perform a wide variety of planning, integration and maintenance work on Diagnostic Imaging Equipment. Activities include: installation, repair, maintenance, and calibration of specialized imaging equipment. Adheres to instructions and corporate policies, and demonstrates professionalism with integrity in all interactions with customers and staff.

Travel across multiple sites may be required in the performance of assigned duties. Perform preventative maintenance and trouble shoot problems with highly sophisticated mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and computer based technology. The incumbent may provide training to colleagues, vendors and other personnel of the Yale New Haven Health System. They may participate in the delivery of clinical education sessions to educate staff, students and others on the operation, hazards and healthcare necessity of the equipment.
