Under the supervision of Diagnostic Radiology Chief Physicist/Manager/Director of Yale New Haven Hospital and Health System, medical physicist II shall provide comprehensive medical physics services in a wide range of imaging modalities: implementation of quality control and accreditation programs, assist in evaluation of new imaging modalities under consideration by the institution, perform tasks and address issues related to acceptance testing, quality assurance, regulatory standards, accreditation, investigational clinical research
and participate in educational training programs supported by the department as needed. The appropriate clinical implementation of these complex technologies requires the expertise of a board-certified diagnostic radiology physicist who will assist with implementing and enforcing the YNHH image optimization and quality management program in compliance with all state, federal and institutional requirements.
