The Senior Major Gift Officer is responsible for managing and securing philanthropic gifts of $100,000 or more towards the overall individual major gift goal of the Westerly / Lawrence + Memorial Hospitals set annually. This position manages a prospect portfolio and applies moves management to approximately 75 donors; conducts 125 visits per year; works with the Department Leadership on the visitation and events calendar for strategic prospect visits; provides support to the Westerly Foundation Board; supports and promotes the planned
giving Legacy Society; and assists in the implementation of a Concierge program. The position also requires aggressive development and maintenance of relationships with donors and prospects; function as part of the Westerly/L+M Hospital management teams in achieving identified priorities; achieving fundraising goals; and understanding and communicating the funding needs of the hospital to volunteer, hospital staff, board members and prospective donors.
