Solar Technician III at Blue Origin | LAYIQ

6–8+ years aerospace hardware experience
IPC J-STD-001/IPC-A-610 certifications (CIS) or NASA-STD-8739 series training
Hands-on stringing/tabbing experience
Hands-on experience with resistance welding, adhesive dispense, lamination/encapsulation, or rework
Experience with solar simulators, IV flash, or EL imaging
Exposure to TVAC, thermal cycling, or environmental test operations
Experience with deployment mechanisms or instrumented testing
Forklift/Scissor Lift and precision handling certifications
Preventive maintenance experience on lab equipment
Working knowledge of standard mechanical tools, fabrication shop equipment (band saw, chop saw, grinders, drills, torque wrenches, etc.)
Knowledge of drawing review, scheduling systems, work order systems, inventory, and various issue tracking systems
Ability to work with engineers to review design concepts, provide feedback for ease of assembly, and support development tests
Review, edit and follow work instructions for assembly tasks
Special Mentions: Relocation provided
Travel expected up to 25% of the time
Base Pay Range for: WA applicants is $36.60 - $51.23

Required for Certain Job Profiles: Drivers who operate Commercial Motor Vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) or combination of power unit and trailer that meets or exceeds 10,001 lbs. and/or transports placardable amounts of hazardous materials by ground in any vehicle on a public road while in commerce, may be subject to additional Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations including: Driver Qualification Files, Medical Certification (obtained before onboarding), Road Test, Hours of Service, Drug and Alcohol Testing, vehicle inspection requirements, CDL requirements (if applicable) and hazardous materials transportation/shipping training.
Required for certain Job Profiles: Ability to obtain and maintain Merchant Mariner Credential, which includes pre-employment and random drug testing as well as DOT physical
