Located at 600 West 23rd St S in Independence, MO, Three Trails Animal Hospital is a full-service companion animal hospital committed to comprehensive, high-quality veterinary care with an emphasis on exceptional client service and patient outcomes. Our team of four experienced DVMs, all Partners and Co-Owners, led by Dr. Rick Schrock and Medical Director Dr. Emily Shearhart, is united by a genuine love for animals and a commitment to the community.
Our hospital treats dogs, cats, and a full range of exotic patients, including rabbits, ferrets, guinea pigs, rats, mice, pocket pets, and reptiles. You'll join a team of experienced DVMs with mentorship, staff support, and equipment to help you thrive from day one.

Over 300 years of veterinary experience. 67 years of post-secondary education & 20 Post-Secondary Degrees, including: Associates of Arts, Associates of Applied Sciences (Veterinary Technology), Bachelor of Science in Poultry, Wildlife Biology, Fisheries and Wildlife, and Animal Science, Certified Veterinary Assistant certifications, and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine
Our Pets include: 46 dogs, 19 cats, 2 rats, 3 horses, 20 goats, 27 chickens, 40 tarantulas, 1 scorpion, 2 hissing cockroaches, 2 snakes, 6 lizards, 1 rabbit, 1 turkey, and 1 bull
We have 33 Children and 10 grandchildren

Requirements:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or VMD degree from an accredited institution
- Valid veterinary license in the state of Missouri
- A collaborative spirit and genuine investment in patient care and client education
