No two days are the same in this role. As the Health, Safety & Risk Business Partner, you'll work closely with leaders across the business, providing trusted advice and practical support to help health, safety and risk management become part of everyday decision-making.

What does a typical day look like?

Partner with operational and senior leaders to embed health, safety and risk into planning, design and delivery activities.

Act as GoFibre's lead competent safety adviser, providing expert guidance across the business.

Lead and develop our team of SHEQ Advisers, helping them grow, succeed and deliver consistently high standards.

Drive a proactive approach to risk management, identifying and addressing risks before they become problems.

Support safe network build and operational activities, ensuring risks are designed out wherever possible.

Lead serious incident investigations and ensure learning is shared across the business.

Work closely with contractors and supply chain partners to raise safety standards and drive continuous improvement.

Champion a positive safety culture where people take ownership and feel empowered to do the right thing.

What we're looking for

• Significant experience in occupational and construction health, safety and risk management.
• Experience working within construction, utilities, telecoms or similar operational environments.
• In depth knowledge of health and safety legislation, including CDM 2015.
• Track record of influencing senior stakeholders and driving positive safety outcomes.
• Team management, with experience leading and developing health and safety professionals.
• Comfortable challenging the status quo and influencing change.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Chartered status, or working towards Chartered membership, with a recognised health and safety qualification.
