Sales Development Representative

About the role:

You'll be the first line of outbound for INGENIOUS.build, opening doors with owners, contractors, and owner's rep teams who are still running complex construction projects on spreadsheets or competitor products, and your work sets the pace for how the sales team scales.

INGENIOUS.build is a construction management software platform that replaces spreadsheets and disconnected tools with one connected system, covering project financials, project management, construction administration, capital planning, and reporting from pre-construction to closeout. It serves owners, developers, owner's reps, and general contractors. The company is fully remote, with around 100 people.

What you'll do

• Build and run outbound prospecting campaigns targeting owners, developers, and general contractors
• Research and identify target accounts and the right contacts within complex development & construction organizations
• Write and send personalized outbound emails, LinkedIn messages, and cold calls to generate qualified conversations
• Qualify inbound and outbound leads against ICP criteria before handing off to the sales team
• Book meetings for account executives and track them through to a qualified handoff
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of outreach, conversations, and pipeline in HubSpot
• Test and iterate on messaging and sequencing based on response rates and feedback from closed deals

What we're looking for

• Prior experience as an SDR or BDR running outbound motions, ideally in B2B software
• Comfortable making a high volume of cold calls and writing cold emails that get replies
• Experience using a CRM and outbound sales tools to manage and track a pipeline
• Clear written and verbal communication, able to explain a product's value quickly and credibly
• Self-directed enough to manage your own daily outbound activity without close oversight in a remote setting
• Nice to have
• Experience selling into construction, real estate, or another project-based industry
• Familiarity with construction management, project financials, or capital planning workflows
• Experience selling to multiple buyer personas within the same deal (owners, GCs, trades)
