About this unit
Our Pediatric Cardiology and Nephrology unit is an 18 bed higher acuity unit located in our Helen DeVos Children's Hospital. The unit specializes in complex populations, including cardiology, nephrology, and burn patients. Other patients include stable trach/vents and neurosurgical patients requiring an external ventricular drain. Our team values the relationships they form with patients and families as they often have a longer stay on the unit and come back in the future due to their chronic conditions.
The 7th floor prides themselves on their great culture of teamwork and support for one another. The team works closely with the PICU.
