Role Overview
We're looking for a Senior Enterprise Account Executive, Healthcare to drive new-business growth across complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles into hospitals and health systems. This is a full-cycle, quota-carrying sales role for someone who runs a disciplined sales process (MEDPICC, Solution Selling, or equivalent), knows how to win competitive RFPs, and brings real relationships and credibility in the healthcare/health IT industry.
This is a highly collaborative role for someone who enjoys building executive relationships, solving complex customer challenges, and helping customers achieve meaningful business outcomes.
Alongside net-new sales, you'll manage renewal and expansion conversations within a portfolio of enterprise health system accounts, and work with resellers, consultancies, and technology vendor partners active in your territory to source and support deals in service of your primary new-business number.
First 90 days: ramped on Pointr's sales methodology, product, and competitive landscape; territory and account map built; active personal prospecting underway; first RFP process shadowed or led. Baseline retention health of assigned accounts documented; at-risk accounts flagged.
6 months: consistent new-logo pipeline generation against quota, at least one competitive RFP led to a decision, existing accounts stable, and working relationships established with Sales Engineering, Customer Success, and Marketing. Assigned book tracking to gross retention target; no unaddressed at-risk renewals.
12 months: full attainment of a blended quota weighted toward new business, plus attainment of the retention/expansion target on the assigned book, a track record of wins on complex/competitive deals, a healthy retained account base, and at least 1-2 active partner relationships contributing sourced or supported pipeline.
5-8 years of enterprise, complex B2B sales experience, ideally selling into hospitals, health systems, or other complex healthcare/regulated enterprise environments.
Trained and practiced in a formal sales methodology such as MEDDIC/MEDDPICC, and able to apply it rigorously to real deals, not just describe it in an interview.
Demonstrated success running full-cycle, multi-stakeholder enterprise sales campaigns, including formal, competitive RFP/RFI responses.
Comfort making complex prioritization and trade-off calls across a full pipeline under time pressure.
Experience working closely with Sales Engineering, Customer Success, and Marketing as a coordinated deal team, including through delivery handoff.
Willingness to travel to industry conferences and major healthcare events, and to personally generate pipeline rather than working inbound leads only.
Excellent forecasting discipline and CRM hygiene.
Proven ability to build trusted relationships with multiple stakeholders, including executive-level customers.
Experience supporting renewals, expansions, and customer growth initiatives, and comfort being held to a retention/expansion number alongside a new-business number.
Strong understanding of customer value, commercial outcomes, and account strategy.
Ability to collaborate effectively across technical, commercial, and operational teams.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Professional fluency in English, both written and verbal.
Travel: 25-40%
Do Not Meet Every Requirement? Apply anyway. We are not looking for perfect resumes. We are looking for the right teammate who is excited to contribute to our mission and grow with us.
Compensation
Base salary range: $115,000 - $140,000 + $115,000 - $140,000 variable (50/50 split), based on experience and market. Compensation includes a blended quota structure: a primary new-logo target and a secondary retention/expansion target on your assigned book, both commissioned. Total compensation also includes stock options and benefits: medical/dental, 401(k), 18 days PTO + sick time + 12 holidays, and paid parental leave.
