We're looking for a builder who wants to stand up and run the deal desk for AWS partner agreement programs. This role owns the end-to-end operational processes that take a partner agreement from program design and partner selection through execution and performance measurement. You'll define how deals move through the pipeline, establish the procedures and quality controls that ensure accuracy at every stage, and build the infrastructure to scale these processes as the portfolio grows.
You'll work across analytics, engineering, and go-to-market teams to:
Establish and operate the deal desk for partner agreement programs, defining the procedures, checkpoints, and quality controls that govern how agreements move from design through execution
Build repeatable, scalable deal processes that ensure data accuracy, consistent partner experience, and reliable performance measurement across all agreement types
Align cross-functional stakeholders (data engineering, sales operations, business planning, finance) on the inputs, validations, and handoffs required at each stage of the deal lifecycle
Identify and drive opportunities to apply AI and automation to deal desk operations, progressively replacing manual steps with intelligent, scalable systems
Monitor deal flow health, identifying where processes break, data quality degrades, or cycle times lag, and driving resolution to keep the desk running accurately
This is a high-ownership role. You'll define how the deal desk operates, what the standards are, and how we scale a growing portfolio of agreement programs without sacrificing accuracy or speed. If you like building operational rigor into complex, cross-functional processes, this is for you.
Key job responsibilities
Stand up and operate the deal desk for partner agreement programs, establishing the procedures, workflows, and quality controls that govern the full deal lifecycle from program design through execution and performance tracking
Define and enforce deal desk standards across all agreement types, ensuring every deal passes through consistent checkpoints for data accuracy, financial validation, and stakeholder sign-off
Architect end-to-end deal workflows that reduce manual handoffs, establish clear ownership at each stage, and scale through progressive automation
Align cross-functional stakeholders across data engineering, sales operations, finance, legal, and business planning on the inputs and validations required at each deal stage
Identify and implement AI and automation opportunities across deal desk operations, transforming manual, repetitive processes into intelligent systems that improve speed, accuracy, and partner experience
Incubate new deal processes as the organization introduces new agreement types, prototyping manually, validating with real deals, then codifying proven patterns into scalable procedures
Monitor deal desk operational health, tracking cycle times, error rates, and process exceptions, and driving continuous improvement
A day in the life
Your day starts at the deal desk. You might begin the morning reviewing the deal pipeline, checking where agreements are stalling and what needs to move. By mid-morning, you're working with a data engineering team to validate that the numbers flowing into a partner's performance report are accurate. After lunch, you're designing the intake process for a new agreement type that doesn't fit existing procedures. Between meetings, you're exploring where AI can eliminate friction: auto-validating deal inputs, flagging data inconsistencies, or streamlining approval workflows. Your stakeholders span data engineering, sales operations, finance, business planning, and field teams.
About the team
We're a small, high-ownership team that builds the systems and processes behind how AWS engages its strategic partners through agreement-based programs. Our work spans the entire partner agreement journey: how programs are designed, how partners are selected, how performance is measured, and how the field supports partners at scale. We sit at the intersection of business development, data engineering, sales operations, and program management. Our team is moving from manual processes toward a scalable, AI-powered platform.
You'll join at the ground floor, helping shape what gets built and how it operates. We value builders who take ambiguous problems and create structure.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
5+ years of Go-To-Market, Business Development, Sales, or Consulting experience
Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
Experience explaining complex technical concepts to various business and technical audiences
Experience with technology transformation initiatives
Experience with data analytics platforms (Power BI, Python, SQL, Tableau), or experience working with Excel, reporting tools, and large-scale data mining tools, such as Power BI, Python, SQL, or Tableau
Preferred Qualifications
MBA
Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations
Experience working with data engineers and business intelligence engineers collaboratively
Experience in developing and managing marketing or channel programs
Familiarity with AI/ML applications in business process optimization
8+ years of experience designing or managing operational workflows and business processes

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
