Title: Software Development Engineer III
Location: 101 Main Street, Cambridge, MA 02142
Duties: Serve as technical lead throughout the full software development lifecycle end-to-end, from scoping, planning, conception, design, implementation, and testing, to documentation, delivery, and maintenance. Participate in the design, development, implementation, testing and documentation of mobile or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using Java, Node.js or Object-Oriented Design.
Provide design reviews for other engineers, including feedback on architecture and design issues, as well as integration, performance, and scalability. Manage resources on multiple technical projects and ensure schedules, milestones, and priorities are compatible with technology and business goals. Translate functional requirements into robust, efficient, supportable solutions that work well within the overall system architecture. Produce comprehensive, usable software documentation.
Evaluate and make decisions around the use of new or existing software products and tools. Mentor junior development engineers. Position reports into Cambridge, MA office; however, telecommuting from a home office may be allowed.
