Amazon's Cross Channel Marketing team (XCM) is seeking a Content Platforms Manager to own how content is structured, governed, and used across our global digital asset management platform, The Hub, and the tools connected to it. Assets arrive continuously from internal, external, and regional sources and have to land organized and ready to use. This role sets how content is structured and standardized as it enters the platform and defines what the automation enforces to keep it consistent at volume.
It also works with the teams and regions that depend on the platform to put those standards into practice.
The Hub is live across regions today and integrates mid-stream with the content pipeline rather than sitting at the end of it, with AI-assisted enrichment and new market onboarding already underway. The work spans the metadata and taxonomy model, the standards governing how assets enter the platform, the automation and AI that apply those standards at volume, and the lifecycle rules that keep content usable over time.
This role works alongside workflow, integrations, and infrastructure counterparts, and directly with campaign, creative, production, and regional marketing teams, external agencies, and vendor partners. Standards have to be carried into practice, not just configured, so this role owns the model and runs the rollouts, pilots, and enablement that get teams working inside it.
We are looking for someone who thinks in systems, knows content deeply enough to know what breaks, and would rather build a standard the platform enforces than a document people are asked to follow. Clear communication matters as much as technical depth, because standards only hold if the teams using the platform understand them and apply them. Ambiguity is constant here: competing needs across teams, incomplete specifications, and content that was never organized consistently to begin with.
Curiosity about AI as a working tool is expected, both in applying it to content operations and in judging whether the output can be trusted.
Key job responsibilities
Owns the metadata and taxonomy model, including schemas, controlled vocabularies, naming standards, inheritance, and the folder and structural logic
Develops and maintains standards for how assets enter the platform from production, agency, and regional sources, so content arrives usable rather than requiring correction after the fact
Drives automation that applies standards at scale, so enforcement lives in the platform rather than in process
Evaluates AI-assisted enrichment and tagging against standards, tuning the vocabularies and inputs it relies on Uses platform reporting to serve teams across the business, from recurring coverage and usage reports to ad hoc requests and business reviews
Sets lifecycle standards covering versioning, retention, and how content stays usable and discoverable over time
Defines the asset data the platform delivers outward, including the identifiers and structure downstream teams depend on, and represents those standards to other Amazon technology teams and vendor partners
Contributes to platform governance, including how groups, permissions, and visibility rules are structured
Manages rollouts and pilots that bring new teams, regions, and content types onto the platform, from scoping through launch
Drives adoption with campaign, creative, production, and regional teams and external agency partners through onboarding, training, and enablement that keep standards consistent

Basic Qualifications
4+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional programs or marketing campaigns from concept to completion
Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools
Knowledge of metadata creation, management & remediation best practices
Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization
Experience with digital asset management tools
Preferred Qualifications
Experience managing external partners to develop marketing programs
Bachelor's or Master's degree in information science, information technology, data science, computer science, engineering, mathematics, physics, or a related field or equivalent experience
Hands-on experience with Orange Logic, including metadata configuration, reporting, and workflow
Experience applying AI to content operations, such as automated metadata generation, content intelligence, or agent-based workflows, and judging where the output can be trusted
Breadth across DAM or MAM platforms such as Tenovos, Nuxeo, Bynder, Widen, or Adobe AEM
Experience leading rollouts or change management across regions or external partners
Experience with content data integrations, including identifier and mapping strategy
Experience defining asset lifecycle standards, including versioning, retention, and discoverability
Experience analyzing content data at volume to surface quality and coverage gaps

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
