Participate as a leader in Amazon's research and development tax credit strategy across our diverse technology businesses, driving significant tax planning impact while managing complex federal incentive programs. You'll combine deep technical expertise in tax law with strategic influence, process innovation, and team leadership to optimize our R&D credit position and shape how we approach federal tax incentives at scale.
Key job responsibilities
Drive the strategy and implementation of research and development tax credits, including identifying qualified research expenditures, performing wage-based and supply-based credit computations, and conducting four-part test analysis across Amazon's technology-driven business lines
Analyze and document the tax impact of new business development, acquisitions, and changes in tax law on research and development credits and related incentives, working in partnership with our Tax Reporting team
