Are you excited about designing hardware that changes how people shop? The Grocery Retail and In-Store Experience team at Amazon is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to take ownership of in-store intelligence hardware projects and additional upcoming product initiatives. You will define requirements, design and validate mechanical sub-systems, select materials and suppliers, and drive products from concept through volume manufacturing.
Working alongside electrical, software, and computer vision engineers, you will solve complex problems at the intersection of mechanical design, sensor integration, and manufacturing scalability. This is a chance to shape products that millions of customers interact with every time they walk into a store.
Key job responsibilities
Lead the mechanical design of sub-systems and components through the full product development lifecycle, from concept definition and requirements through prototyping, validation, and production release.
