Corporate Counsel - Automation, Stores & Operations Legal

Amazon is seeking a regulatory counsel for a unique opportunity to help Amazon develop and deploy autonomous vehicle and robotics solutions for last mile delivery operations. This is a new program in its early stages: a multi-year investment with significant executive attention, rapid growth, and the opportunity to shape regulatory strategy from the ground up.

You will be the team's subject matter expert on the regulations governing autonomous vehicles and personal delivery devices — including NHTSA regulations, the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Act, and the growing patchwork of state and local AV and robotics laws.

You will chart the regulatory strategy for these programs: advising on what regulatory frameworks exist and where they're heading, building compliance plans that enable the business to test and deploy across multiple jurisdictions, and helping senior leaders make informed decisions about where and how to move forward. Working directly with engineering, product, safety, and public policy teams, you will translate regulatory requirements into practical guidance and help the business navigate a landscape that is evolving rapidly.
