Associate Corporate Counsel, Food Safety Compliance

Amazon is looking for an innovative regulatory and compliance attorney to support Amazon’s Food Safety Operations team in North America. You will work collaboratively across all Amazon’s emerging and existing food business and compliance teams that work to build new processes that raise the food safety bar for our customers.

You will be responsible for counseling on food safety legal and business requirements for our private label products, online grocery and health and wellness categories as well as impact the development and continual improvement of our state-of-the-art food safety technology tools for use both online and in our store, including scalable solutions to farm-to-fork food traceability needs.

Key job responsibilities

Providing day-to-day advice to our Amazon’s Food Safety Operations team and food businesses on regulations governing the transport and sale of food from farm to fork, including laws governing food production, distribution, labeling, recalls, foodborne illnesses and allergens, and permitting; Monitoring and advising food safety and compliance teams on upcoming regulatory changes and maintenance of existing compliance processes
