AWS Infrastructure as Code helps customers to easily and efficiently adopt AWS services while ensuring that their applications run safely in the cloud. We develop services, including CloudFormation, Cloud Control API, and the Cloud Development Kit (CDK) that empower customers to spin up infrastructure across AWS at unprecedented scale.
Our vision is to make agent driven infrastructure management fast , reliable and safe. The Provider Experience team provides the building blocks for customers to scale and grow their use of AWS services and third-party solutions. With the CloudFormation CLI and Resource Provider Development Kit (RPDK), we enable AWS service teams and third-party developers to build a standardized resource-based interface to their services and provide access to customers via the CloudFormation Registry.
From there, we make it easy for developers to discover each resource's capabilities and build solutions to manage infrastructure at AWS scale.
We are looking for an experienced Product Management leader to define the end-to-end vision and strategy for CFN Provider Experience.
A successful candidate will have strong passion for developers and experience in designing platform strategies. You have a background in software development and product management, specific to software platforms and ecosystems. You must be highly analytical, able to work extremely effectively across multiple organizations, and adept at synthesizing a variety of technologies and capabilities into high quality, simple products and applications that developers and customers love.
Key job responsibilities
Drive the product strategy and roadmap for your space, and manage prioritization and tradeoffs against developer experience, customer experience, and time to market.
Create buy-in for the product vision both internally and with key external partners.
Establish business processes and policies as well as metrics and indicators for success.
Measure and analyze existing products and business models for opportunities to innovate and improve, providing additional benefits to developers and customers.
Drive product launches including working with public relations team, executives, and other product management team members
Develop, report, and continually improve business performance metrics
Proactively identify and resolve strategic issues that may impair the team’s ability to meet strategic, financial, and technical goals.

About the team
AWS CloudFormation is the foundational Infrastructure as Code (IaC) service from AWS, enabling millions of customers to model, provision, and manage their cloud resources through templates. Our team owns the frontend public API layer, template and operation validations, deployment safety rules, and third-party (3P) hooks — the critical layers between the customer and the CloudFormation engine.
We are the first line of defense for customer experience: catching errors early, enforcing deployment guardrails, and empowering customers to extend CloudFormation with custom validation and compliance logic. We are customer-obsessed builders who hold ourselves to the highest bar for availability, correctness, and security.
Basic Qualifications
7+ years of working as a Technical Product Manager experience
5+ years of technical (software development, network development, IT, other related) experience
Experience delivering large-scale SaaS, PaaS or LaaS products where you are responsible for the full product lifecycle, from concept through GTM (go to market)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience building platform services for third party developers.
Experience building Infrastructure as Code (IaC) products or experience building services using IaC products (AWS CloudFormation, Terraform etc.)

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
