Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Senior Manager, Software Development to lead engineering teams within the Elastic Container Service (ECS) organization in Seattle, WA. ECS is a fully managed container orchestration service that enables customers to deploy, manage, and scale containerized applications with speed and reliability.
In this role, you will own the technical direction and execution of multiple engineering teams, define the roadmap for ECS features and infrastructure, and grow a high-performing organization of engineers and engineering managers.
What You Will Do?
You will lead two or more engineering teams responsible for designing, building, and operating ECS services at global scale. Your teams will own the full software development lifecycle — from requirements and design through delivery, operations, and continuous improvement. You will partner directly with Principal Engineers, Product Managers, and senior AWS leaders to set a multi-year technical vision for ECS and translate that vision into quarterly and annual deliverables.
