We are looking for an experienced Software Development Engineer with production quality software services experience. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where delivery of new services and features is very rapid.The ideal candidate will demonstrate established software engineering expertise, having successfully developed and launched extensive distributed systems in collaboration with a team. You are adaptable, capable of excelling in a dynamic and entrepreneurial setting.
You will be responsible for delivering high quality, extensible design and code. You are expected to mentor and guide junior engineers. You are comfortable managing competing priorities and are able to bring order to ambiguous scenarios. You identify and implement optimizations for performance, scalability, and efficiency. Maturity, impeccable judgment, and the ability to influence and lead are essential to success in this role. You are data-driven and analytical.
You have the ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both in writing and verbally, across organizations, and up to senior leadership.Previous Routing Protocols/Networking background is a plus.
We are the AWS Intent Driven Networking (AIDN) Team, and we own the design and development of services to enable Intent-driven management of the AWS Network. Our mission is to transform the way AWS Networks are managed by seeking to make our networks consistent, verifiably safe, predictable and agile.
Our vision is to enable our customers to express expected network behavior as Intents that are compiled, tested and reflected in our networks through close-loop Authoritative control systems, with Change SLAs measured in the order of seconds, not days or weeks.
The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
