From Northwest Ambulance's posting. “We” and “our” refer to the employer.
Looking for an alternative to bedside?
If you're ready for a change from the hospital, there's a place to use your nursing skills where the focus is one patient at a time.
As a Critical Care Transport RN with Northwest Ambulance, you'll practice at the top of your license and manage complex critical care patients. Same acuity. Same critical thinking. Completely different environment.
If you're an ICU or ER nurse who's tired of the hospital but still wants real clinical work and real patient acuity, we'd love to talk with you.
Why nurses make the move to transport
One patient at a time. No four-patient assignment, no competing call lights. Your full attention goes where it belongs.
Predictable schedules. You'll know when you're working.
No mandatory hospital floating. You were hired for critical care; you'll practice critical care.
Real autonomy. Mobile ICU-level care with the critical thinking to back it up.
Variety. Different patients, different sending and receiving facilities, different clinical pictures — every shift.
Paid training and continuing education. We invest in keeping your skills and certifications current.
Dedicated clinical support for nurses. A Clinical Manager and a Nurse Educator are here specifically to support our nursing staff — onboarding, skills development, protocol questions, and case review. You won't be figuring it out alone.
We offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance to ensure the well-being and health of our employees.
Regular, non-exempt field employees who are scheduled to work on designated holidays are paid a premium holiday rate of 1.5 times their regular rate for all hours worked on the holiday.
Our commitment to your financial future is reflected in our generous 401k program. We provide employer matching up to 5% of your salary, empowering you to save for long-term goals.
We understand the importance of work-life balance, which is why we provide paid time off at the rate of 2.3 - 4.7 hours per 40 hours worked (based on your years of experience) to help you recharge, spend time with loved ones, and pursue personal interests.
To maintain a professional and consistent appearance across our team, uniforms are provided to all employees, ensuring you always look your best while representing our company.
Educational Reimbursement: $1200
The employer shall reimburse regular, full-time nurses one thousand two hundred dollars ($1200) each year of the contract for courses/events related to nursing and specialized certifications (CCRN, CEN, CTRN) test and recertification fees. The Nurse Manager or Training Battalion requires pre-authorization for such fees. Education money is defined to include travel, registration fees, lodging, and class materials. Requests for education funds will be responded to within seven (7) days.
Reimbursements will be made with thirty (30) days of submission.
