Overview
The Principal Web Technology Lead is responsible for defining and governing the web technology ecosystem that powers Microsoft's commercial web experiences. This role owns the standards, governance, platform strategy, and implementation framework required to ensure web platforms, tagging, and measurement capabilities operate consistently across the customer journey.
Acting as both the Web Technology Lead and overall Capability Lead, this individual serves as the bridge between business stakeholders, web platform teams, analytics teams, and engineering organizations. They translate business scenarios and measurement needs into technical standards and platform requirements while ensuring consistent implementation across the web ecosystem. This role does not own data engineering, analytics, or reporting delivery.
Instead, it ensures that the web platforms, tagging frameworks, metadata standards, and measurement capabilities required by those teams are implemented consistently and governed across the ecosystem.
