About the job
As the Technical Accounting Lead for Energy Deal Advisory and Investments, you will serve as a strategic subject-matter expert guiding the business through cutting-edge commercial power transactions, clean energy procurement, and complex asset investments.
In this role, you will advise and support cross-functional partners—including product area controllership, finance, legal, and energy procurement teams—by analyzing technical accounting implications and evaluating non-standard agreements under various US GAAP topics (including ASC 810, ASC 815, ASC 842, and ASC 321/323) to optimize agreement outcomes while ensuring compliance and safeguarding accounting integrity.
This dedicated deal advisory and research role moves beyond routine month-end reporting, placing you at the front lines of structuring Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs/VPPAs), Energy Supply Agreements (ESAs), Renewable Energy Certificate (REC) arrangements, and direct equity investments in clean energy infrastructure.
