Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

The Maintenance Mechanic monitors, operates and maintains building systems equipment, records appropriate readings and information, performs preventative and general maintenance on equipment and building.  This position performs emergency repairs or adjustments to maintain hospital integrity.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Performs mechanical rounds of hospital equipment and complete appropriate paperwork.

Performs zone maintenance rounds.

Performs PM’s on assigned equipment.

Monitors and makes repairs as needed.

Participates in Mechanic’s on-call rotation

Performs other duties as needed or assigned.

Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Required :

High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred :

• HVAC Certification of training from an accredited trade school or Technical College
• Carpentry, painting, sheetrock skills
• Two (2) years’ experience in hospital setting
• Technical Training in a Craft or Trade Labor program
