Position Purpose
The Application Engineer is responsible for developing net-new solutions and refactoring prototype applications into secure, reliable tools that drive business profitability, increased efficiencies, and improved customer experience. While a major focus of this role is hardening AI-assisted prototypes for broader, ongoing use, you will also occasionally design and build new applications from the ground up to advance The Home Depot's analytics capabilities.
Based on the specific needs of the team, this role requires proficiency in application engineering specializations such as secure coding, API and Model Context Protocol (MCP) integrations, testing and quality assurance, and data pipeline integration.
