Product Management is responsible for driving the overall user experience, feature strategies and concepts, and engagement paradigms for Disney Entertainment & ESPN's global portfolio of consumer-facing streaming and digital products – including Disney+, Hulu, ESPN, ABC, ABC News, Nat Geo, Marvel, and Star Wars.
This role sits within the Media Product team, whose mission is to enhance our users’ content and viewing experiences through scalable, innovative capabilities across our media ecosystem. The team owns the end-to-end systems that power the content journey for our streaming subscribers, from acquisition to exhibition, across VOD, live, and linear formats.
Our responsibilities span across ingestion, metadata model and content catalog, media encoding, operational tooling, CDN, content security, and video players. Together, our platform ensures that every piece of entertainment, sports, and news content reaches audiences reliably, securely, and in the highest possible quality.

Job Summary:
We are looking for a Senior Manager of Product Management to lead the Live and Linear Media Pipeline team, accountable for the platform capabilities powering Disney's live sports and entertainment, linear dMVPD service, DVR, FAST channel playout, content marking and decoration, in-stream ad insertion, and the operational tooling behind it all.
Live and linear is among the most operationally complex, highest-stakes work on the platform. This leader sets vision and direction for the team, builds the engineering partnerships that make execution possible, and develops their PMs into a high-performing unit that owns the full live content journey.
Strong candidates bring experience leading product teams in live media or technically complex platform environments, genuine investment in PM craft and team development, and the range to operate credibly from engineering deep dives to executive briefings.
Responsibilities and Duties of the Role:
Set and own product vision, strategy, and OKRs across the Live and Linear Media Pipeline portfolio, aligned to broader Media Platform and enterprise objectives.
Build compelling business cases for Live and Linear Pipeline investments; identify emerging problems in the domain and bring the organizational clarity needed to address them.
Serve as the senior PM partner to engineering leaders in the live domain, establishing joint roadmap and strategy cadences and driving alignment across live pipeline domains.
Collaborate with VOD Pipeline, Content Metadata, and Distribution and Playback PMs to maintain coherent end-to-end content journey ownership.
Lead and coach a geographically distributed team of PMs; build a culture aligned to our Media-generalist model including PMs who use AI-assisted tools to accelerate discovery and sharpen their work.
Maintain working fluency across the live and linear platform; identify where AI and automation can improve reliability, reduce operational burden, or unlock new capabilities.
Required Education, Experience/Skills/Training: 10+ years of experience in product management or a related discipline.
Experience leading and developing PM teams, with demonstrated investment in coaching and raising the standard of product thinking.
Experience owning product strategy across a complex, multi-domain platform or media technology environment, with accountability for measurable outcomes.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to frame portfolio strategy for executive audiences and align cross-functional stakeholders.
Proven ability to operate across organizational boundaries and unblock teams in ambiguous situations.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with live media workflows: signal acquisition, live event orchestration, linear playout, dMVPD and DVR, SCTE 224 / SCTE-35 processing, and in-stream ad insertion.
Experience with FAST channel operations and content marking, decoration, and scheduling systems.
Platform or infrastructure PM background at a large-scale streaming or media technology organization.
Experience building or scaling a product team in a new or evolving domain.
Familiarity with AI-assisted PM workflows and a point of view on how they raise team productivity and craft.
Required Education
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required

The hiring range for this position in New York, NY is $197,400 to $264,700 per year, and in Morrisville, NC is $179,500 to $240,600 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
