The Site EHS Manager is responsible for the onsite implementation, management, and auditing of Astreya’s Safety Program at dedicated data center locations. This role ensures that all site operations—including fiber deployment, rack-and-stack activities, and large-scale fiber turnups—comply with local, state, federal, and client-specific regulatory requirements.
Reporting directly to the Regional EHS Manager, the Site Manager serves as a subject matter expert for onsite personnel, conducting regular risk assessments and providing functional leadership to ensure a zero-energy state and safe man-machine environments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Site-Level Program Execution
Risk Management: Conduct regular site assessments to identify hazards in high-risk processes, such as 4th-level racking and electrical installations.
CEHS Planning: Prepare and maintain location-specific EHS plans for new data center turnups and ongoing operations from initial planning through to execution.
Electrical Safety: Enforce strict Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols and verify zero-energy states to prevent electrical incidents.
