Role Details

The Research Analyst will join the team managing the MW Health Innovations Fund, which invests in public and private healthcare companies, generating differentiated ideas through rigorous fundamental research and financial modeling.

Responsibilities:

• Generate long/short investment recommendations backed by fundamental research and proprietary financial modeling
• Evaluate and diligence late-stage private company opportunities
• Monitor portfolio holdings across earnings, news flow, and industry/scientific developments
• Build and maintain management, buy-side, and sell-side relationships through conferences, calls, and meetings

Requirements:

• 2-5 years of experience in healthcare investing (public or private markets) or related roles in equity research, investment banking, or consulting
• Experience within the therapeutics subsector is strongly preferred
• MD or PhD in a relevant scientific discipline preferred but not required
• Bachelor's degree with excellent academic credentials
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Self-starter mentality with an ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Base salary: $150,000-$175,000. Please note base salary ranges are an estimate; compensation will be candidate dependent. Employees are also eligible for a discretionary bonus.
