Role summary:
The Manager, Data Engineering, leads the development and execution of strategies that support Walmart’s global taxonomy, product specifications, and catalog governance. This role partners with business and technical stakeholders to identify needs, design scalable solutions, and ensure taxonomy and specification data is structured, consistent, and aligned with business objectives.
The manager oversees the delivery and ongoing management of specifications, establishes standards for schema quality and governance, and translates complex business needs into clear requirements and actionable solutions. This role also promotes continuous improvement, operational excellence, and cross-functional alignment to strengthen Walmart’s catalog capabilities and deliver measurable business value.
