As a Distinguished Data Scientist at Walmart, you will lead the development and deployment of advanced analytical models and machine learning solutions to address complex business challenges. At Walmart Global Tech, the Marketplace Engineering team drives innovation in global commerce by supporting a fast-growing eCommerce platform. The team enables thousands of sellers to efficiently manage digital storefronts, optimizing product listings, pricing, and inventory. They deliver seamless pre- and post-order experiences through intelligent, resilient systems. Leveraging real-time data and integrating with partner platforms across Walmart’s ecosystem, the team ensures exceptional customer experiences.
Focused on scalable, reliable solutions, they collaborate across functions to advance technology roadmaps and support sustained business growth.
What you'll do:
Analyze complex business problems using advanced data analytics and machine learning techniques to identify root causes and recommend effective solutions.
Develop and implement predictive models and data-driven strategies aligned with business objectives to drive measurable impact.
Design and deliver compelling data visualizations and narratives that clearly communicate insights to stakeholders and influence decision-making.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions and ensure data quality and governance standards.
Mentor team members on analytical methods, model validation, and best practices to enhance overall capability and innovation.

Proficiency in feature engineering and advanced statistical methods to enhance model accuracy and robustness.
Strong knowledge of data visualization tools and techniques to communicate complex insights effectively.

Expertise in data governance, quality standards, and scalable data management practices.
Skilled in coding languages such as Python and SQL for model development and deployment.
Proven capability to mentor teams and drive continuous improvement in analytics practices.
