Technician, Facility Services, HVAC-Refrigeration at Walmart | LAYIQ

Proven experience installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC and refrigeration systems, including ductwork and control panels.
Ability to interpret layout plans and schematics to ensure compliance with building codes and operational specifications.
Skilled in diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant-related issues in commercial and industrial environments.
Knowledge of OSHA standards and EPA 608 refrigerant handling protocols.
Experience leading teams and mentoring technicians on technical and safety procedures.
Strong communication skills to effectively explain technical issues and service outcomes.
Capability to manage service calls, use digital scheduling tools, and maintain accurate documentation.

The hourly wage range for this position is $29.00 - $58.00*
*The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.
Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications...
Outlined below are the required minimum qualifications for this position. If none are listed, there are no minimum qualifications.
Option 1: Vocational or technical HVAC/R certification and 2 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls.
Option 2: 4 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls or related field.
Hold and maintains Type I and Type II or Universal Environmental Protection Agency certification for refrigerant handling.
Where required, HVAC-R/ Mechanical Journeyman.
Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass motor vehicle report.• Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five (5) years.
Commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years.
No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
No serious traffic violations, as defined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
