What you'll do...
The Assistant General Manager, Transportation supports the overall leadership, direction, and execution of Walmart's transportation operations within a distribution network. This role is responsible for helping ensure the safe, compliant, efficient, and cost-effective movement of freight while delivering exceptional service to stores, clubs, customers, and supply chain partners.
The Assistant General Manager partners closely with the General Transportation Manager to drive operational excellence across transportation planning, fleet readiness, safety, compliance, associate development, and continuous improvement initiatives. This leader leverages data, technology, and cross-functional partnerships to optimize network performance, improve service levels, and support Walmart's supply chain strategy.
