What you'll do:
The Production Specialist supports manufacturing and production operations by assisting in the cutting, assembly, and handling of building materials. This role plays a key part in ensuring products are produced accurately, safely, and efficiently. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically active environment.
Produce building products according to work orders, layouts, and specifications
Read and interpret production paperwork, blueprints, and measuring tools to ensure accuracy
Measure, mark, position, and fasten materials using hand and power tools
Inspect materials and completed products to ensure quality and compliance with specifications
Identify and remove damaged or non-conforming materials
Set up workstations, tools, and materials for production runs
Move completed products to staging or designated production areas
Perform quality checks and support changeovers as needed during production
Maintain awareness of production schedules and workflow priorities
Follow all safety policies, PPE requirements, and operational procedures
Inspect tools and equipment before use and report any safety or maintenance concerns
Operate equipment and machinery safely and responsibly
Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area
Work closely with supervisors and team members to meet daily production goals
Communicate production issues, material shortages, or quality concerns promptly
Support continuous improvement and operational efficiency initiatives
Perform additional duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous manufacturing, production, construction, carpentry, warehouse, or related experience is a plus but not required
Familiarity with work orders, blueprints, layouts, or technical drawings is a plus
Previous experience with hand tools, power tools, or production equipment is a plus
Experience within truss, building components, millwork, or other building-products manufacturing is a plus
Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification is a plus
Work Environment and Requirements
Work is performed primarily in a manufacturing and production environment
Frequent exposure to machinery, moving equipment, dust, noise, vibration, and varying temperatures
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
Ability to frequently bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive physical tasks
Ability to regularly lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds, with assistance or mechanical equipment used for heavier materials
Frequent use of hand tools, power tools, and production equipment after appropriate training
Required PPE must be worn in designated production areas
Overtime, weekends, or extended hours may be required based on production schedules
