Analyst, Research and Insights at On Board Experiential | LAYIQ

Research & Analytics
Conduct quantitative and qualitative research across the global sports and entertainment landscape, including sports properties, leagues, teams, athletes, audiences, sponsorships, cultural trends, consumer behavior, and competitive activity.
Gather, organize, and analyze data from a variety of internal and external sources to identify trends, patterns, opportunities, and implications for OSA clients.
Support the evaluation of sponsorship and partnership opportunities through research, benchmarking, audience analysis, competitive assessments, and other relevant data points.
Translate complex research and data into concise, digestible insights and compelling narratives for client presentations and strategic recommendations.
Develop research reports, landscape analyses, competitive reviews, and other materials that help inform client decision-making.
Support measurement and analysis of client programs and partnerships, including the development of measurement frameworks, performance reporting, and post-program analysis.
Maintain an ongoing pulse on developments across sports, sponsorship, media, technology, consumer behavior, and culture, proactively surfacing relevant trends and opportunities to the broader OSA team.
Help identify and build new research tools, databases, trackers, and processes that strengthen OSA’s overall research and insights capabilities.
Creative & Strategy
Support the development of sports marketing, sponsorship, and partnership strategies across multiple client accounts.
Bring research and audience insights into strategic and creative development, helping ensure recommendations are grounded in data while remaining culturally relevant and actionable.
Contribute to the development of client-facing presentations, strategic frameworks, POVs, recommendations, and other deliverables.
Participate in brainstorms and working sessions, bringing relevant research, trends, case studies, and inspiration to help fuel strategic and creative thinking.
Research and develop case studies and best-in-class examples across sports, entertainment, experiential, digital, social, content, and brand marketing.
Help evaluate potential activation ideas and opportunities against client objectives, audience insights, cultural relevance, and the broader competitive landscape.
Work collaboratively with OSA and broader OBE strategy, creative, experiential, production, talent, and other teams to help develop integrated client solutions.
Business Development Support
Support OSA new business efforts through research, analysis, strategic development, and pitch preparation.
Conduct research on prospective clients, industries, categories, competitors, sports properties, and relevant marketplace trends to inform new business opportunities.
Help develop customized insights and strategic narratives that demonstrate OSA’s understanding of a prospective client’s business, audience, and opportunity within sports.
Support the creation of pitch presentations, credentials materials, case studies, and other business development deliverables.
Identify emerging categories, brands, properties, trends, and whitespace opportunities that could inform OSA’s business development pipeline and broader growth strategy.
Assist with ad hoc research and preparation ahead of prospective client meetings, industry events, and other business development opportunities.
OSA / General Support
Support day-to-day client servicing and project needs across OSA accounts, including presentations, meeting preparation, agendas, recaps, and project trackers.
Participate in internal and external meetings, helping capture key takeaways, decisions, and next steps as needed.
Help manage timelines and deliverables across multiple projects and workstreams, coordinating with OSA and broader OBE teams.
Assist with partnership and activation-related workstreams as needed, including property research, asset reviews, hospitality and ticketing analysis, and other client requests.
Contribute to internal OSA initiatives, thought leadership, capability development, and knowledge-sharing across the team.
Help maintain organized internal resources, research libraries, case studies, and materials that can be leveraged across client and new business work.
Provide general team support during high-priority client deliverables, pitches, major sporting events, and other key moments.
Participate in broader OBE initiatives and cross-functional collaboration opportunities that contribute to the continued growth of OSA and the agency.
Agency & Team Collaboration
Collaborate closely with cross-functional agency teams including finance, creative, production, strategy, operations, talent, and experiential to support integrated client programs and partnership executions.
Help manage communication, timelines, and deliverables across internal agency teams, clients, vendors, and rights-holder partners.
Contribute to internal brainstorms, activation planning sessions, and creative development discussions across sports, entertainment, hospitality, and experiential projects.
Support new business efforts through research, presentation development, and pitch preparations as needed.
Participate in internal agency initiatives and team collaboration opportunities that contribute to the continued growth of OSA and broader OBE network.

1–2 years of experience in research, analytics, sports marketing, sponsorship, consulting, brand marketing, agency, or a related field preferred.
Strong interest and knowledge of the global sports and entertainment landscape.
Demonstrated ability to conduct research, synthesize information, and identify meaningful insights from quantitative and qualitative data.
Experience working with data, research platforms, audience insights, consumer research, or measurement tools preferred.
Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Google Slides and other research or data visualization tools preferred.
Ability to turn data and complex information into clear, concise, and visually compelling stories.
Familiarity with sports sponsorship, partnerships, marketing, media, and/or experiential marketing preferred.
Ability to travel domestically and globally as needed.
Ability to occasionally work non-standard hours around major events, client needs, and deadlines.
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, sports management, analytics, economics, or a related field preferred.
