About our Summer Internship Program
RF-SMART's Summer Internship Program gives you real work, real responsibility, and direct access to leaders across the organization. This is a 12-week, full-time experience—not a resume line item, but a launchpad.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Intern to join our dynamic finance team. As an accounting intern you'll gain hands-on experience in various accounting functions, including financial reporting, accounts payable/receivable, and general ledger maintenance. You will work closely with the Accounting team to support day-to-day operations and gain exposure to best practices in corporate accounting.
What You'll Do
Alongside your project work, approximately 5–6 hours each week are built into your schedule for structured development. These two tracks run simultaneously.
Role Responsibilities: Assist with accounts payable and receivable, including processing invoices and payments
Support month-end and year-end close processes by preparing journal entries and account reconciliations
Help prepare financial reports and ensure accuracy in general ledger postings
Conduct data entry and analysis related to financial transactions
Assist in the preparation of tax documentation and compliance reporting
Collaborate with team members to ensure financial data is accurate and up-to-date
Participate in ad hoc projects and reporting as needed

Develop presentation skills, communication, and professional presence through workshops and intentional projects to showcase your learned skills and abilities
Collaborate on a group innovation project that spans the full 12 weeks

Build your network at our intern alumni panel and networking mixer
Participate in volunteer events, National Intern Day, and company-wide activities

What You Bring:
Interest in process improvement
Demonstrated leadership skills
Currently enrolled in a degree program at the time of the internship
Considered a Junior or Senior by credit hours
Available to work 40 hours per week in-office
Eligible to work in the United States for any employer without future sponsorship

Duration: May 30, 2027 - July 30, 2027 (12 weeks)
Hours: 40 hours per week in Summer
Pay: $20/hour
Location: Jacksonville, FL
Open to undergraduate students, graduate students, and May/Spring graduates
