Overview

Provides direct patient care to all age groups under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse consistent with the established guidelines of practice, the Goals of Mercy Health System, the Philosophy of the Sisters of Mercy, the Code of Professional and Business Ethics and the Co-worker Code of Conduct. Performs related duties as assigned.

Certifications: Must have a current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider card or complete a course within their probation period.

Preferred Education: Preferred successful completion of a recognized Nurse Assistant training course and/or possesses a significant amount of Nurse Assistant experience.

Physical Requirements:

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
