Responsibilities
- Perform oral and maxillofacial surgical procedures, including extractions, dental implant placement and other surgical treatments within your scope of practice.
- Diagnose and treat oral and facial conditions requiring surgical intervention.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on each patient’s clinical needs, goals and overall health.
- Practice at the top of your specialty with full clinical autonomy and access to the resources and support you need.
- Build strong relationships with patients and referring dentists through clear communication and exceptional care.
- Educate patients and families about procedures, treatment options, risks, benefits and post-operative care.
- Collaborate with general dentists, specialists and clinical teams to support comprehensive patient care.
- Lead and support your clinical team to create a safe, efficient and patient-centered surgical environment.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow all applicable clinical, safety and compliance standards.
Qualifications
- DDS or DMD from an accredited dental school.
- Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Specialty Certificate from an accredited program.
- Active state dental license or eligibility to obtain one.
- Active DEA license or eligibility to obtain one.
- Strong commitment to clinical excellence and patient-centered care.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with referring dentists, specialists and clinical teams.
