JOB DESCRIPTION:
SUMMARY OF POSITION
Provides emotional/informational support for program participants and their families. Assists clients with access to positive social connections and community-based or office-based recovery support services. This role will work with community partners and local stakeholders to provide comprehensive care in the community or office.
As a part of the community-based or office-based team, the Peer Support Specialist will meet with individuals in office and/or their own environment such as in the client’s home, hospital, the office, schools/work, etc. This role will ensure continuity of care with clients through peer services as well as sharing their own lived experiences to provide clients with education, support, and hope. A variety of clinical training opportunities are available based on program and interest.
