Job Responsibilities:
Develops and implements employee training and career development programs. Assesses training and development needs for the organization. Oversee the administration of all training documentation.
1. Know and understand Bowling Green Metalforming Quality and Environmental policies.
2. Supports HR with Workday eLearning, Leadership Excellence, Succession Planning, Onboarding/ NHO, and relatable KPIs.
3. Supports HSE with tracking their required training such as Environmental, Ergonomics, OSHA, First-Aid, Arc Flash, etc.
4. Supports Quality with tracking applicable training such as MQS training, Perceptron & Cognex training, Weld Training, etc.
5. Supports Materials with FIFO & Material Identification and Powered Industrial truck training.
6. Support Factory of the Future Industry 4.0, IT, and WCM with development and implementation of paperless training and training acknowledgements via HMIs.
7. Supports and assist Operations with & tracking trainings such as: LOTO training, FIFO, FO/MO, TPM, Defect Training, Equipment Operations, LPA, LSW, Visual Management (T1-T4) effective meetings, shift handoffs, TWI JI – Standard Work observations, MES training, etc. Trainer may be asked to conduct and assist with these trainings.
8. Obtain and Maintain all WCM / Mafact Training certifications: Lean Simulation (LEGO/OPEX) Training, TWI Job Instruction, and TWI Job Relations, etc.
9. Lead and or Assist with WCM / MAFACT NHO – Onboarding Training
10. Coordinate & conduct the following Trainings:
11. Powered Industrial Truck (material handler) training
12. Crane Training
13. Lean Simulation Training
14. TWI Job Instruction
15. TWI Job Relations
16. Standardized Work Training
17. 5S Training
18. LPA Training
19. LSW Training including Standardized Work Observations training
20. Kaizen Training
21. Problem Solving Training
22. Team Leader T1 Meeting (effective pre-shift communication)
23. Operations Shopfloor training

Training Matrixes – Team Member Development Planning (Assist Mafact 3.02 Champion)

24. Coordinate and maintain all employee training records and documentation.
25. Track completion and recertification requirements for mandatory training programs.
26. Monitor training compliance and provide reports to leadership regarding overdue or upcoming training requirements.
27. Ensure all required training and certifications remain current and compliant with all company and regulatory requirements.
28. Create training through Workday (LDS) by using Articulate 360 for WCM, Operations, etc.
29. Ensure all required training is maintained current.
30. Support audits by providing training records and compliance documentation.
31. Implement & Monitor training KPI’s such as Training compliance rate, training effectiveness, on-time completion, recertifications due, etc.
32. Investigate industry trends and benchmark best practice training programs, tools, and techniques to identify opportunities to continuously improve the training and monitoring.
33. Perform other duties as required.
What we are looking for:
High School diploma or GED is required
1-3 years of training experience or a 4-year degree in training is required
A minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
Preferred qualifications:
Computer skills: proficiency in Microsoft Office, Power Point, Excel, Training systems are required
Experience maintaining training records and systems.
Ability to coordinate multiple training programs simultaneously.
Strong attention to detail
Ability to operate standard office equipment is required
Strong communication and presentation skills
Knowledge of OSHA, Safety, Environmental, and Manufacturing Training Requirements.
Certification in Forklift, PIT, and Crane operation required, or must be obtained within one month of employment.
Experienced with TWI JI, JR, EASE – LPA, LDS systems, operations experience is preferred.
Training material development – Power Point, Articulate 360, Work - Day, videos, etc.
