Hardware Test Engineer (Manufacturing) at Whoop | LAYIQ

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline
2+ years of experience developing hardware test systems, automated test equipment, or manufacturing test solutions for consumer electronics or similar products
Strong fundamentals in electronics and experience working with laboratory instrumentation and communication protocols such as UART, I²C, SPI, USB, Bluetooth, or NFC
Understanding of metrology fundamentals, including measurement accuracy, repeatability, and calibration
Experience designing, building, or debugging electrical test systems, including schematics, test interface electronics, or PCBAs; experience with tools such as Altium Designer is a plus
Proficiency in Python and experience using software to automate hardware, instrumentation, or test processes; experience with C/C++ or other systems languages is a plus
Experience debugging hardware and software issues using structured problem-solving techniques
Experience analyzing engineering or manufacturing data to evaluate test performance and identify failure trends; familiarity with SPC and manufacturing process capability is a plus
Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment is preferred
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary engineering teams
Ability to travel up to 15%, both domestically and internationally
Strong commitment to leveraging AI tools in day-to-day tasks, ensuring AI-assisted work aligns with the same high-quality standards as personal contributions
This role is based in the WHOOP office located in Boston, MA. The successful candidate must be prepared to relocate if necessary to work out of the Boston, MA office.
