Component Engineer at Whoop | LAYIQ

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
5+ years of experience in electronic component engineering, component management, electrical engineering, or a related hardware engineering role.
Strong knowledge of electronic components such as semiconductors, resistors, capacitors, connectors, and other electrical components, including their applications, manufacturing considerations, and use in electronic designs.
Experience with component selection, qualification, lifecycle management, electrical testing, reliability requirements, failure analysis, and alternate component evaluation.
Familiarity with component lifecycle and BOM management practices, including obsolescence, Product Change Notifications, sourcing risk, alternate availability, and component management or PLM systems.
Working knowledge of relevant industry and regulatory requirements such as RoHS, UL, IPC, and other standards applicable to electronic hardware products.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with demonstrated ability to identify technical or supply risks and drive cross-functional actions through resolution in a fast-paced hardware environment.
Strong commitment to embracing and leveraging AI tools in day-to-day tasks, ensuring AI-assisted work aligns with the same high-quality standards as personal contributions.
This role is based in the WHOOP office located in Boston, MA. The successful candidate must be prepared to relocate if necessary to work out of the Boston, MA office.
