The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) partners closely with firm leaders to deliver people-related programs and initiatives and provide strategic direction and consultation. The HRBP is responsible for collaborating closely with other HR specialists and Leadership to understand business needs and priorities to ensure that HR talent delivery needs are effectively met within the business.
This role is responsible for collaborating with the broader operational and functional areas to design and deliver a high-performing, business-aligned people agenda. The HRBP is responsible for providing distinctive service to firm colleagues and business leaders within service lines and geographies and advising on people-related issues towards outcomes that align with the firm culture, values, and DE&I initiatives.
The HRBP is also responsible for “high touch” people experiences, such as performance management, retention practices, and general talent programs. This role is critical in executing colleague initiatives, providing exceptional internal support, and fostering a high-performance environment within the Firm.
Who You Are:
Business-minded HR professional with 6+ years of progressive HR/Talent experience, including experience supporting a global and culturally diverse workforce, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, client-service-oriented environment.
Self-starter who can navigate ambiguity, independently drive work forward, and balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
Curious, solutions-oriented, and willing to challenge current ways of working, identify opportunities to improve, and translate business and people priorities into practical action.
Strong coach, collaborator, and influencer who builds trusted relationships across all levels of a matrixed organization.
Skilled at balancing multiple priorities and business stakeholders with a calm, positive, and action-oriented approach.
Comfortable using people data and insights to identify trends, inform decisions, and recommend action.
Trusted to handle sensitive and complex employee matters with sound judgment, discretion, and a compliance-minded, risk-aware approach aligned with the firm’s culture, values, and DE&I commitments.
Professional services, consulting, or similarly fast-paced, client-driven experience (ideally within a global environment) preferred.
What You’ll Do:
Serve as a strategic HR partner to dedicated service lines and geographies, building trusted relationships with leaders and employees to understand business priorities, talent needs, and employee experience.
Deliver people programs and initiatives with a client-service mindset, supporting a global workforce and ensuring firm practices are applied consistently and appropriately across geographies.
Lead and support the execution of core HR programs, including organization design, performance management, talent reviews, promotion assessments, development planning, retention, employee relations, compliance, and change initiatives.
Partner with business leaders on workforce, capability, and succession planning to anticipate future talent needs and strengthen leadership pipelines.
Lead and advise business leaders through complex employee relations matters and workplace investigations, including performance concerns, leaves and accommodations, and involuntary exits with sound judgment, thorough documentation, discretion, and a balanced approach to employee experience, business needs, and risk mitigation.
Use people data, engagement insights, and business metrics to identify trends, assess risk, and recommend practical actions related to performance, retention, staffing, and organizational health.
Partner with leaders to build management capability through coaching, tools, and training on feedback, performance, career development, inclusive leadership, and effective people practices.
Collaborate closely with Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Learning & Development, Resource Management, and other functional partners to deliver integrated talent solutions aligned with business and client needs.
Advise leaders on compensation, recognition, and reward decisions in partnership with the Compensation team, ensuring alignment with performance, market practices, and internal equity.
Support organizational growth, transformation, and integration efforts, helping leaders communicate change clearly and maintain a strong, consistent employee experience.
Complete and maintain HR transactions, reporting, and workflows in Workday and other HR systems, ensuring data accuracy, timely execution, and a positive employee and leader experience.
Lead and support HR compliance efforts, including audit readiness, policy and handbook development, and implementation of consistent, legally compliant people practices across the firm.
Identify opportunities to simplify, improve, and scale HR processes; leverage technology, automation, and AI tools responsibly to increase efficiency and enhance service delivery.
Develop a strong understanding of the business drivers shaping talent needs, including growth priorities, utilization, staffing demands, client delivery, and profitability.
