Scope of Work
The Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) uses ophthalmic techniques to perform preliminary work-ups for patients of the Corewell Health Eye Institute physicians. Coordinates patient appointments, with BEI clerical staff. Assists in the overall care of the ophthalmic patient, prepares exam room, inspects instrumentation, prepares instrumentation for CPD, restocking of room, provide education to patients, assists doctors, certified ophthalmic technicians (COT's) and assistants Sr.
