Material Handler - Steel Production

Precision Steel Services has supplied steel across the Midwest since 1974. We are looking for a Material Handler to help move, stage, organize, package, and prepare material throughout our production and shipping process.

This role is the engine behind material flow.

As a Material Handler, you keep steel, parts, and customer orders moving through the operation. When material is staged, organized, packaged, and ready, production and shipping stay on schedule. When it is not, equipment waits, orders slow down, and the entire operation backs up.

This is hands-on manufacturing work for someone with forklift experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to stay organized while keeping pace.

What You’ll Do

• Operate forklifts and material handling equipment to move steel, parts, pallets, skids, and supplies
• Load and unload trucks while verifying material and order requirements
• Stage material for production, storage, shipping, or the next operation
• Package customer orders for shipment, including wrapping, banding, securing, labeling, and organizing material
