Key Account Sales Specialist at Enbridge | LAYIQ

Identify, develop, and advance strategic growth opportunities across the data center, power generation, and large industrial customer segments, including emerging energy infrastructure developments.
Build trusted relationships with developers, data center operators, municipalities, utilities, independent power producers, engineering firms, and economic development organizations.
Assess customer energy requirements, project timelines, infrastructure needs, and commercial drivers to develop reliable, cost-effective natural gas solutions.
Lead commercial engagement for major customer projects and coordinate cross-functional resources to remove barriers and deliver integrated solutions from project origination through execution.
Support the development and negotiation of commercial arrangements, including facility extension, pre-construction, and service agreements.
Serve as the voice of the customer by identifying needs, removing obstacles, and coordinating internal resources to deliver integrated customer solutions.
Evaluate project economics, capital requirements, load forecasts, customer business cases, and competitive alternatives while monitoring market and industry trends that influence growth opportunities.
Represent Enbridge at customer meetings, industry conferences, economic development events, regulatory proceedings, and stakeholder forums while supporting growth objectives, strategic initiatives, and regulatory activities.
Monitor industry trends related to data center expansion, artificial intelligence infrastructure, electric markets, power reliability, distributed generation, and economic development.
Who You Are: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and industry experience.
7+ years of relevant experience in sales, business development, utilities, energy infrastructure, or a related industry.
You possess strong knowledge of the utility, natural gas, power generation, and broader energy infrastructure sectors, including key market participants and stakeholders.
Understanding of data center development, power generation markets, large-load energy requirements, or economic development initiatives is considered a strong asset.
Excellent presentation, negotiation, and communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders ranging from project developers to senior executives.
Familiarity with Utah and Wyoming utility tariffs, regulatory frameworks, and utility infrastructure development processes and can effectively navigate complex commercial opportunities.
You are a collaborative, strategic relationship builder who establishes credibility and trust with customers, regulators, partners, and internal stakeholders.
A Master’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Marketing, Public Administration, or a related field is considered an asset.
Working Conditions: Typical office work environment.
Ability to travel up to 25% of the time for customer visits, industry events, conferences, and business development opportunities.
Physical Requirements include but are not limited to: Grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.
Mental Requirements (Both Field & Office) include but are not limited to: Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
