Helper Rate:

$20 per hour

We are seeking a compassionate and dependable helper to support a 70-year-old woman who is recovering from a stroke that caused left-side paralysis and weakness in her legs

. She also needs assistance with toileting and daily activities. Her husband, age 80, is at home but has limited ability to provide hands-on support.

Care Responsibilities
Assist with dressing and other ADLs
Help the client safely get out of bed
Support safe movement and mobility as tolerated
Provide toileting assistance
Prepare light meals
Help keep the home tidy
Provide companionship and encouragement
Help maintain a safe and comfortable environment

Schedule

The family is looking to fill two split shifts:

Day Shift:

9:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Evening Shift:

5:00 PM – 7:00 PM

Helpers may be considered for either shift.

Ideal Candidate
Experience with stroke recovery or mobility support is a plus
Comfortable assisting with ADLs, toileting, and mobility
Patient, compassionate, and encouraging
Reliable and dependable
Able to provide respectful, hands-on support while encouraging independence
This role is best suited for a patient and compassionate helper who is comfortable providing hands-on ADL and mobility support

. The ideal helper will help the wife with her daily routines, encourage safe movement and independence, and provide companionship while also giving her husband some much-needed additional support.
