Nurse Practitioner at Catholic Health Services of Long Island | LAYIQ

Provide comprehensive clinical care to Gastroenterology patients in the outpatient setting.
Conduct patient assessments, follow-up visits, and appropriate management of Gastroenterology conditions.

Clinical Practice
The Nurse Practitioner will primarily provide outpatient Gastroenterology care and will work with an established physician and clinical support team. The role is expected to provide full-time clinical coverage and appropriate autonomy consistent with the NP's training, experience, and applicable organizational policies.
The NP will have the opportunity to support the management of routine and follow-up Gastroenterology patients, while collaborating closely with the physician for complex clinical cases and treatment decisions.
Required Qualifications
Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in New York State.
Graduate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
National board certification as a Nurse Practitioner in the applicable specialty.
Current BLS certification.
Current ACLS certification.
DEA registration/certification.
Previous Gastroenterology experience is required.
Strong clinical assessment, communication, and patient-management skills.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Preferred Experience
Demonstrated experience practicing as a Nurse Practitioner in Gastroenterology.
Experience managing outpatient Gastroenterology patients in a high-volume clinical setting.
Strong clinical triage and care-coordination skills.
Ability to work effectively with physicians and other members of the clinical team.

Position Summary
CHPP Ambulatory Care Lake Success is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our Gastroenterology practice. This is a full-time, primarily outpatient position supporting a high-volume Gastroenterology physician and helping expand access to high-quality specialty care.
The NP will work closely with Dr. Christine Yu and the multidisciplinary practice team to provide comprehensive patient care, clinical triage, patient communication, and provider support. This role offers an opportunity to increase patient access, improve continuity of care, and allow the physician to focus on complex cases and procedures.
The position is primarily outpatient, with the potential for inpatient responsibilities and hospital rounding in the future based on practice needs.
