Job Summary:

SmithRx is seeking a Network Pricing Strategy Manager who will play a critical role in supporting our overall supply chain operations and strategy. In this role, you will analyze, develop, and execute pricing strategies across the supply chain—including retail pharmacy, mail pharmacy, specialty, rebate aggregators, and pharmaceutical manufacturers—allowing SmithRx to more effectively compete in the market.

This role is both internal and external, with the expectation of participating in meetings with supply chain partners to present and explain SmithRx pricing proposals. To be successful, you will need a solid understanding of pharmacy reimbursement, pricing benchmarks, PBM client pricing, and the competitive landscape. You will collaborate cross-functionally to support SmithRx solutions and partner with the data team to build tools and reporting that empower our Supply Chain team during partner negotiations.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in commercial insurance (self-funded programs), relationship management, data-driven analysis, and external presentations.

What you will do:

• Relationship Management: Maintain and grow relationships with key pricing and business intelligence (BI) supply chain contacts to increase partner understanding of SmithRx capabilities.
• Data & Analytics: Leverage data analytics and economic modeling to support conversations and proposals surrounding our unique pharmacy benefit offerings.
• Growth Support: Analyze market opportunities to help identify and open up new channels for the sales organization.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Sales, Customer Success, Sales Ops, Partnerships, Analytics, Product, and Marketing teams to ensure alignment on pricing strategies.
• Content Creation: Build functional enablement materials (playbooks, cheat sheets, objection-handling guides, FAQs) to improve solution knowledge across teams.
• Partner Presentations: Participate in and facilitate partner meetings to help present SmithRx differentiators and value propositions clearly.
• Training & Enablement: Prepare materials and assist in delivering training internally to sales teams and externally to supply chain partners.
• ROI Tracking: Assist in tracking and demonstrating client value and ROI achieved through shared strategic partnerships.

What you will bring to SmithRx:

• 5+ years of experience working in pharmacy, healthcare tech, or the PBM space.
• 3+ years of experience in pricing strategy, pharmacy reimbursement, or business intelligence.
• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Finance, Analytics, or a related field.
• Experience working effectively within a high-growth, fast-changing environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex internal processes and data into actionable insight.
• Excellent presentation, writing, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Hands-on proficiency leveraging technology, Looker or BI platforms, and analytical tools.

• California - outside of San Francisco Bay Area
• Metro Denver / Boulder - Colorado

• Metro Boston / Cambridge - Massachusetts and New Hampshire
• Metro Austin - Texas
• Metro Seattle - Washington
• Zone B Pay Range
• $129,000 — $151,800 USD

Zone C includes all other locations not listed above, including:

Base Salary:

The range listed above reflects our standard pay scale and actual pay will vary based on work location, job level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
