The Coffee Shop at Baptist Health Lexington provides high-quality beverages, food items, and exceptional service to patients, visitors, and team members throughout the hospital. The Barista plays   an important role   in creating a welcoming experience by preparing coffee, espresso beverages, and food items while ensuring accuracy, quality, and excellent customer service. This position supports daily operations through safe food handling,   accurate   transactions, cleanliness, and adherence to hospital and regulatory standards.

The   Barista   provides exceptional customer service by preparing and serving quality coffee, espresso beverages, and food items in a fast-paced healthcare environment. This role   is responsible for   accurate   cash handling,   maintaining   a clean and safe workspace, and following all food safety, sanitation, and organizational standards to ensure an outstanding experience for patients, visitors, and staff.

Job Description:

Prepared coffee, espresso beverages, and food items according to standardized recipes and quality standards.

Delivered friendly customer service by taking orders, answering product questions, and recommending menu items to increase sales.

Accurately processed cash and credit transactions, balanced registers, and completed end-of-shift cash reconciliation.

Maintained compliance with food safety, sanitation, HACCP, HIPAA, and organizational policies.

Cleaned and   maintained   equipment, monitored inventory levels, and communicated supply or equipment needs to   management .

Ensured a clean, organized work environment while providing efficient and courteous service.
